9/14 wrapup

So we have had a great week this week, well all except little Brie getting sick. Today, Friday, has been amazing too. Kayla finished her first week in Core A and she did so well. I have an older version of Core A so I decided to get some of the books from the newer version. Here Kayla is listening to Curious George on CD. She actually decided to do this on her own, something that has never really been done before in our house :) I guess I am not really a big listener to book, but she loved doing this.
   Another neat moment that happened today was during our LA time. Kayla was working on coming up with a story from a story starter picture. She made up a story about a fish and a toy and a little boy named Henry. Well Noah's assignment was to come up with some main points from a bible story and the next day we are going to write the story in his own words and then tell it to someone. Well Noah was so upset at the end of the day that he didn't get to make up his own story that he did it anyway :) He made up a story about 2 Worms that were warring over this game of worm chess. It actually was very similar to what we read in history today about the Persians and Greeks. Anyway, we are done for the weekend and have had a blast this week.
