Fun getaway...almost

So the kids have been dying to camp out so we figured we would head out last weekend. We got all our camping stuff together and headed out to Land Between the Lakes. The kids loved it, especially roasting hotdogs over the fire. My mother-in-law also joined us since she had a little time off from work. Everything was great until about midnight when we were attacked by mosquitoes :( we found a small tear in our tent so we ended up retreating back home right before a storm hit. Needless to say it didn't end like we expected but we all had fun and learned some good lessons. Hopefully we can try again soon after we fix the tent and the weather gets a little cooler :) 

This was Kayla's highlight of the trip I think, the water pump. She ended up putting stones in a circle and making a small pool of water for her toys to float in.
