Reading: Noah is reading quite well. We are skipping around some because we are a little tired of the I Can Read It series :) We are almost done with book 3, but he is able to read some Dr. Seuss books so we are alternating some. Last week Noah picked up Go Dog, Go and read the whole thing by himself. That was amazing because he doesn't generally pick up books on his own to read by himself.
Handwriting is much improved!! All we have to work on is him using lower case letters. He started writing with caps and now just wants to use those. He can do his lower case letters, but I guess he will eventually be there :)
Math: We are starting Lesson 4 in MUS which is +2 numbers. I know he knows how to add those and add quite well, but I want him to memorize the facts. The plan is to go through the lessons quicker than we need to, but I can't say we are. It is okay because he isn't really behind compared to the public schools so I am okay.
Science: We are using mostly P4/5 science right now. The kids both love the Berenstain Bears book. We have read through the first two books that are in it (it's a 3 in 1 book) a few times.
Social studies: There is less of this in P4/5 than Core K, but the kids are liking the books in it. They are starting to realize where meat really comes from so they aren't as happy about eating as they use to, but hey what can you do :)
Overall, the kids are doing great and I am happy with their progress. The baby even likes to grab and look at the pictures in the books :)
