Well, we have had a slow last week so we are stepping up the pace this week a little. Noah is doing so well with his school . Loving Core K with Sonlight!! He has learned so much with his Egermeier's bible and it is so interesting for me and him. I have decided to switch up his math program. He has made it through at least 2/3 or Horizons K and it just isn't working with us. He really isn't liking math because of all the work there is with it. We are switching it up with Math-U-See. I think he will like it a lot. We got the manipulatives in the mail today and his student guide. The kids ripped the box open and started playing with the blocks. They aren't quite Lego's but they are close enough :)
We also finished up our chapter on the Sun and have headed on to Mercury. Our interesting fact of the day is that the sky is black on Mercury because there is not much of an atmosphere. So also that makes the sun look white. The picture that is in the book makes you feel like you are in Star Wars.
Kayla has also picked up on reading. I have started her with 100 EZ lessons. She is on chapter 20 or so. She is doing really well. She read a short story about a sad cat all by herself!! I am proud of my little 3.5 year old. It is easier teaching the second child because you have learned so many things to do and not to do from the first. I guess Brie will have it even better since she is the third!!
